In many ways the beach resort os Pefkos has become a dormitory suburb of Lindos. The resort developed where only olive groves and a few fishermen's houses once stood. There are now numerous villas and small hotels and attendant tavernas, bars and shops. Most are low key and Pefkos is fairly quiet, relative to Rhodes's more frenetic resorts. There is a string of pleasant, sandy beaches along the curve of the sheltered bay on which Pefkos stands.
